Dr Adi Barnard
Director of the Company- Phone: + 27 (0) 83 376 1966
- Experience: More than three decades
Dr Adi Barnard completed a Ph.D. in Industrial and organisational Psychology, published articles in his field of expertise in both local and international journals and has more than three decades of work experience
Although Dr Barnard place a high value on academic achievements, he believes his greatest attribute is his comprehensive experience “in the world of work” consisting of nearly two decades in government, one decade in private sector and one decade in private practice. As it is Industrial Psychologists’ forte to make assessments and predictions with regard to “future loss or potential earnings”, very few Industrial Psychologists can compete with Dr Barnard with regard to academic achievements as well as insight and experience at all three levels in the world of work.
Currently he is focusing on consulting in medico-legal assessments and reporting, conducting assessment centers, strategic planning and organisational development. He has lectured at the University of Pretoria in the fields of Performance Management and Training and Development.
In the past he functioned in various management positions where he provided strategic assistance.
Previously he was a Colonel, Deputy Director of Human Resources (HR) planning, and worked as an
expert content consultant for pwc providing strategic HR direction.

The factor structure of the Social Axioms Survey II(SASII) in the South African context
The objective of this study was to validate the new Social Axioms Survey II (SASII) The study sample comprised university students (n = 793) as well as their family members and friends (n = 645) Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) following an initial exploratory factor analysis yielded a five-factor model: social cynicism, social complexity, reward for application, religiosity, and fate control The findings of this study support the use of the new SASII in South Africa for research purposes.
The cross-cultural application of the social axioms surey
The objectives of this study were to investigate the replicability, construct equivalence, item bias and reliability of the Social Axioms Survey (SAS) in the South African Police Service (SAPS). A crosssectional survey design was used. The participants consisted of applicants who had applied for jobs in the SAPS (N = 1535), and the SAS was administered to them. An exploratory factor analysis utilising target rotation applied to all 60 items of the SAS revealed four interpretable factors (Social Cynicism, Reward for Application, Fate Control, and Spirituality/Religiosity).
